    Other Comments: Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and financial need.     Other Comments: State Scholars are Kansas residents who receive State Scholar designation in their senior year of high school. Criteria include having taken the ACT Assessment between April of the sophomore year and December of the senior year, AND completing the Kansas Scholars Curriculum.     Vocational Educational Scholarship

    Amount: Up to $500;

    Who Is Eligible?
    Award Is Open To: HS Seniors
    Majors/Fields of Study: All Majors, Vocational/Technical Studies
    Residency: Kansas
    Student Attends School In: Kansas
    Other Comments: Scholarships are open to students planning to enroll in an accredited vocational-technical school in Kansas. Students must register to take a vocational exam which is offered the first Saturday in November and in March. For more information on this test please contact your HS guidance counselor or the financial aid office of the school you plan on attending.

    Other Descriptors: MIA, POW, Deceased.
    Other Comments: Scholarships are offered to children of military personnel who entered service in the US Armed Forces while a resident of Kansas, and now qualify as a POW, MIA, or KIA.
