    Scholarship Name: FiSCA National Scholarship Program

    Description: Financial Service Centers of America, a national organization that serves communities with financial services, is offering cash grants or $2,000 (sometimes more) each to outstanding students residing in the communities they serve. They are looking for high school students who are committed to community service, leaderships and academic excellence. They are particularly interested in those students who have overcome a serious obstacle in their past, and ask that all students submit a 1,000 word essay on their struggles.

    Patricia M. McNamara Memorial Scholarship

    Scholarship Name: Patricia M. McNamara Memorial Scholarship

    Description: The Patricia M. McNamara Scholarship is named for an extraordinary woman who overcame adversity in her own life to attend high school and college. She then went on to share her story with other young women to help them overcome their own obstacles. To honor Patricia’s memory, the Patricia M. McNamara Memorial Scholarship was created. Students attending any institute of higher education who have faced serious obstacles are encouraged to apply.
