Scholarship Name: Asian Women in Business Scholarship
Description: Established in 2006, the Asian Women In Business Scholarship encourages supports exceptional Asian female students who demonstrate scholarship, leadership, community service and/or entrepreneurship. Qualified candidates must be women of Asian or Pacific Islander ancestry, who are enrolled full-time in an accredited four-year undergraduate institution in the U.S. Additionally, she must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and be involved in a leadership role in a community or non-profit organization and/or a record of entrepreneurial achievement. The application deadline is August 15, 2009.

Scholarship Name: AARP Foundation Women’s Scholarship Program
Description: One type of scholarship that you don’t see very often is for older students. But the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) is a leader in encouraging older citizens to reach their technical and educational goals, and has implemented the Women’s Scholarship Program to ease the financial burden that is associated with going back to school. Applicants much prove that they have financial need to qualify for these scholarships.
