Description: Blue Cross and Blue Shield continues to be one of the leaders in providing funding for nurses to pursue their undergraduate and graduate studies across the country. Rather than administer a scholarship program themselves, local Blue Cross offices, like Independence Blue Cross, partner with appropriate nursing programs in their area to provide scholarships and grants for advanced nursing study. Independence Blue Cross also runs a Nursing Educator and Nursing Internship program, with an emphasis on filling the critical nursing need in the United States.
