Who Can Apply:
- Eunice Walker Johnson was a business leader and humanitarian, particularly concerned with the encouragement of African American youth. Mrs. Johnson was the producer and director of the world’s largest traveling fashion show, Ebony Fashion Fair, which has donated some of its proceeds to UNCF.
- Through her generous donation, the Eunice Walker Johnson Endowed Scholarship Fund was developed to award need-based scholarships of up to $5,000 each to undergraduate students attending Selma University or a UNCF Member Institution.
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants must have completed a FAFSA and have a demonstrated unmet financial aid need, as verified by the applicant’s college or university. Priority consideration will be granted to applicants attending Selma University.

- A 250-500 word essay on the following subject:
- In consideration of Eunice Walker Johnson’s humanitarian perspective and her concern for the well-being of African American youth, please write an essay that captures the spirit of her generosity and her genuine empathy for African American youth. Your essay should be focused on how you, through your education, could make a positive contribution to your community.
