‘547’ John E. McGlamry Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: March 15, 2019)

Who Can Apply: The “547” John E. McGlamry Memorial Scholarship Fund was established at the North Georgia Community Foundation in 2012 to honor the life and career of Georgia State Trooper John E. McGlamry. Trooper McGlamry served the State of Georgia for 25 years and did so with unwavering principles. As such, he left a lasting impact on the communities he served, his peers, and his family.

The scholarship is for graduating high school seniors who are the children of active or retired Georgia State Troopers. Recipients of the scholarship are selected on merit and their response to an essay on “wisdom, justice and moderation. The scholarship will be awarded for $1,750 and is a one-time award.
