Who Can Apply: In January 2009, the Alachua Association for Career and Technical Education (AACTE) established the AACTE Scholarship for students in Alachua County who are attending Santa Fe College or high school seniors who plan to enroll at Santa Fe College after their high school graduation. The AACTE is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting career and technical education in Alachua County. Its members include educators and business partners interested in career and technical education in Alachua County Public Schools and Santa Fe College.
The association, chartered in 1973, plans essential programs and fund raising activities that support professional development, student scholarships, mini-grant opportunities and special recognition in career and technical education.
Criteria
- Student must have 2.0 GPA
- Full time (12 credit hours) enrollment
- Alachua County student who plans to attend Santa Fe College or is currently enrolled
- Program of study – General
- Pursuing A.A. (Associate in Arts), A.S. (Associate in Science) Degree, or Certificate Program
