Anna Satcher Scholarship (Deadline: March 1, 2018)

Who Can Apply: Anna Satcher Scholarship Support Fund is available to graduating seniors or post-secondary students from Mt. Liberty Baptist Church, and/or Anniston High School and Walter Wellborn High School. Applicants are eligible to apply for the scholarship without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, or disability.  When there is not an eligible pool of applicants from Mt. Liberty Baptist Church, graduating seniors from Anniston High and Walter Wellborn High are eligible to apply.

Mt. Liberty applicants will be given special consideration and extra points when the scholarship is made available to graduating seniors from Anniston High and Walter Wellborn High. Priority will be given to students with documented financial need, scholastic achievement, strong moral character, community service, church membership, church attendance, and participation in church activities.

Submission: An essay is required with the on-line application. The student is asked to describe his or her i) personal aspirations, educational, and career goals, and ii) the name of any person, living or deceased that he or she admires and why. This essay should be typed and uploaded to the on-line scholarship application. The applicant should conclude the essay with the main reason why the Scholarship Review Committee should award him or her the scholarship.
