The Annual Kenneth P. Carp $1,000 College Scholarship (Deadline: December 31, 2016)

Who Can Apply: The Kenneth P. Carp college scholarship is open to individuals who are planning to attend or currently enrolled in an accredited United States college or university.

Submission: In order to participate, applicants must submit a 500-word essay answering the following question:

“A Living trust is often referred to as a trust that is created during the lifetime of an individual attempting to either reduce taxation expenses or establish the long-term management of property.  The American Bar Association describes probate as “the formal legal process that gives recognition to a will and appoints the executor or personal representative who will administer the estate and distribute assets to the intended beneficiaries”.  Define and describe the advantages and disadvantages of both a living trust and probate.  State which of the two options is most advantages and describe why.”
