Barbara Hunter Grant Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: March 5, 2019)

Who Can Apply: The Barbara Hunter Grant Memorial Scholarship was established to provide funds for educational scholarships available to graduating seniors at Robert E. Lee High School who exhibit academic merit and financial need. Recipients of this scholarship are eligible to re-apply for three additional years as long as he/she remains in good standing and continues to satisfy the scholarship criteria. Applicants must have plans to enroll at an accredited four-year college or university.

  • Applicants must be a graduating senior at Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton, VA.
  • Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
  • Applicants must demonstrate academic merit. However, it is the objective of this scholarship to support individuals who have had to work extremely hard in order to rise above their academic challenges.  Consequently, it is possible that the recipient of this scholarship may not have the highest GPA among graduating seniors.
  • Applicants must plan to enroll at an accredited four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year.
