Who Can Apply:
- This scholarship is open to any student who is currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in the United States. This includes accredited community college students, and high school seniors (and students who possess a GED) that have been accepted to or enrolled in an accredited program.
- The scholarship applicant must be able to demonstrate a commitment to promoting social justice by past and present personal, volunteer, professional and/or educational experiences.
All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or above.
Submission: Essay Question – 1,000 word maximum
“Describe a situation you witnessed or have heard about that you would describe as greatly unjust. What did you do about the situation at the time you saw or heard about it? Based on what you have learned since then and your current commitment to social justice, what would you do differently to fight the injustice now and/or how are you doing it? How do you plan to continue to demonstrate your commitment to promoting social justice in the future?”
