C.C. Miao & Rosalind Miao Scholarship Fund (Deadline: April 15, 2015)

Who Can Apply: Up to 4-year scholarship awarded to students attending any accredited college or university in the State of Texas. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be from the Dallas area and be of Chinese ethnic heritage – either born in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan, or born in the United States and have parents or grandparents who were born in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan. Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need. Graduate students are welcome to apply, but preference is given to undergraduates.

Submission: Supplemental Questions –

  1. Were you, your parents, and/or your grandparents born in either China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan?
  2. If so, please state which member of your family (including yourself):
  3. As a Chinese descendant, how can you make America a better place in which to live?
  4. Describe the goals you hope to achieve by pursuing and obtaining a college degree. What do you plan to study in college? What career(s) are you considering and how will this scholarship help you achieve your goals?

Deadline: April 15, 2015

Amount: Up to $20,000 total per student
