CHS Athenian Scholarship (Deadline: January 15, 2018)

Who Can Apply:

  • Be a graduate in good standing from Crawfordville High School by the end of June of the year in which the application is filed
  • Must have completed a minimum of seven (7) semesters of high school by the application deadline to be eligible to apply
  • Must have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must not be older than 21 when applying for the scholarship for the first time.
  • Be a resident of Montgomery County, Indiana and have lived in Montgomery County, Indiana for the previous {3) three years.
  • Be accepted into and attend an accredited two-year or four-year public college or university in the state of Indiana or an accredited Indiana technical or trade school such as Vincennes University or Ivy Tech Community College.
  • 21st Century Scholar award winners are NOT eligible for this scholarship.
  • Demonstrates academic preparation and potential for success in post-high school education.
  • Financial need will be considered a primary criteria

Submission:

  • In addition to the standard essay questions, be prepared to answer the following essay questions (300 word maximum each):
  • “How have you prepared yourself for a successful post-high school education?”
  • “What do you want to do with the education you are going to pursue?”
