David Zeno Founders’ Scholarships (Deadline: April 30, 2016)

Who Can Apply:

  • Applicants must be either a current graduating high school senior with acceptance to an accredited school or an undergraduate student at an accredited institution within the United States
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Applicants must submit an official high school transcript

Submission: Please include an essay (800 words max.) on the following topic.

  1. New York Times columnist David Brooks in his book “The Road to Character” challenges us to rebalance the scales between our “résumé virtues”—achieving wealth, fame, and status—and our “eulogy virtues,” those that exist at the core of our being: kindness, bravery, honesty, or faithfulness, focusing on what kind of relationships we have formed. What are your priorities, and how will you, or will you, strive to build a rich inner live marked by humility and moral depth. There are no right or wrong answers.
