Delmar Foundation Scholarships (Deadline: May 1, 2018)

Who Can Apply: 

  • Be a permanent resident within the Franklin Regional School District in Westmoreland County, PA for at least one year prior to the application deadline
  • Be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident
  • Demonstrate financial need to pay tuition and other school expenses
  • Be a high school senior, or have a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). An applicant may have:

    – Attended the Franklin Regional School District
    – Been home schooled
    – Attended a private or parochial school
    – Been a member of a cyber charter school

  • Have applied to or currently be enrolled in an accredited college, university, junior college, technical college, or trade school – on a full-time or part-time basis
  • Have achieved a minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.00 grade point scale or have received a GED. Applicants who have been or are currently enrolled in a college, university, junior college, technical college, or trade school (whether first-time applicants or previous Delmar Scholarship recipients) must also meet the following requirements:

    – Applicants completing their first (freshman) year must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale    (or comparable performance on other grading systems) for the first year
    – Applicants completing their second (sophomore) or third (junior) year must have achieved a cumulative grade point average    of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or comparable performance on other grading systems)

  • Have been involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, volunteer activities, and/or work experiences
