Earl Haas Scholarship (Deadline: March 1, 2016)

Who Can Apply: The applicant must be a Kalamazoo County resident who is a graduate of a high school, alternative school or GED program; or a graduate of a high school, alternative school or GED program in Kalamazoo County. Preference may be given to non-traditional students (students out of high school for at least four years), GED recipients or graduates of alternative school programs.

Applicant may be enrolled as a part-time or full time student who is pursuing vocational or technical training, trade school, a certificate program, a 2-year degree or 4-year degree. Applicant must demonstrate financial need through filing the FAFSA.


  1. One Scholarship Recommendation Form and Letter of Recommendation from an adult who is not a family member, but who knows the applicant well and who can attest to the students’ ability and motivation to complete their post-secondary education.
  2. An official cumulative transcript through the most recent term, if courses have been completed within the past five years.
