Award Is Open To: All Undergrads, HS Seniors and Foreign Students

GPA: 2.0

Other Comments: Renewable scholarships are available for undergraduate students who have been residents of Washington, DC, for at least 15 consecutive months and who hold a high school diploma or equivalent and are already or plan to be enrolled in an institution of higher learning in the US.

DC Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (DC LEAP)

Citizenship: United States, US Permanent Resident
Residency: District of Columbia
Student Attends School In: District of Columbia
Other Comments: This is a need based grant offered to DC residents who wish to pursue their education beyond high school. This grant is funded by DC and the matching of funds by the federal government. Please check the website listed for eligibility requirements.

Award Is Open To: Children who have been adopted through the DC Foster Care program or children who lost one or both of their parents in the September 11 attacks.
Majors/Fields of Study: All Majors
Citizenship: United States, US Permanent Resident
Residency: District of Columbia
Student Attends School In: District of Columbia
Other Comments: Must have a GED or high school diploma and be pursuing a post secondary education. Lifetime maximum awarded is $40,000. Applicants must show proof of they were adopted from the DC Foster Care program after October 2001 or a death certificate of their parent(s). Please visit the website listed for more information.
