Who Can Apply: The Ganelle Hargrove Cook Scholarship was established in 1999 to provide annual scholarships to deserving individuals residing in Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County who are pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree. Preference will be given to applicants of Hispanic/Latino heritage. Scholarship recipients are eligible to re-apply annually for up to four years as long as the recipient continues to meet scholarship criteria and funds are available. The intent of the scholarship sponsor is to provide scholarships for Hispanic/Latino individuals.
- Preference will be given, but not limited, to applicants of Hispanic/Latino heritage.
- An eligible applicant shall be graduating or have graduated (includes GED) from a high school in Staunton, Waynesboro, or Augusta County.
- An eligible student must demonstrate financial need, scholarship, participation in school/community activities, and exemplify character qualities of respect, honesty, and responsibility.
- An eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year or have graduated (includes GED) and plan to enroll at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the Continental United States the following academic year.
