George Washington University Supplemental Scholarship (Deadline: December 1, 2015)

Who Can Apply: The Supplemental Scholarship is a competitive, need based scholarship. This award provides aid to Federal Work-Study (FWS) recipients, who must forfeit this particular source of aid when they study abroad, up to the amount of the maximum amount of their FWS per semester.

  1. Meets all study abroad eligibility requirements
  2. Currently receiving a Federal Work-Study award and working at the time of application in a paid FWS or non-FWS position.

Submission:

1. Most recent financial aid award letter indicating Federal Work-Study

2. Letter from current supervisor (FWS or non FWS) certifying current number of hours worked per week, hourly remuneration rate, and contact information. The recommendation letter requirement on your Supplemental Scholarship online application is for you to request a letter from your current supervisor (FWS or non FWS).  Letters from professors or others who are not your current supervisor will not be accepted.
