Who Can Apply:
1.You must have been born in and be a current resident of a nation of the Western Hemisphere other than Cuba or the United States (see list below).
a.Argentina, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Belize (British Honduras),Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada,Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts& Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela
2.You must have lived in the Western Hemisphere for a minimum of 5 years.
3.You must have at 2 or more semesters left to complete your degree at the time of application (i.e. If you graduatein Fall 2015, you are not eligible to apply).
4.You must maintain satisfactory academic progress (2.0 GPA undergraduate; 3.0 GPA graduate).
5.You must intend to return to your country upon completion of your program of study.
6.You must be admitted unconditionally at an eligible public institution in Texas.
7.You must not have dual citizenship within the U.S.
8.You must not be considered a Texas resident (Exception: Those who receive resident tuition due to an academicassignment or University Scholarship/Fellowship are eligible to apply)
1.Submit application to the International Office front desk at 2400 Nueces Street OR
2.Mail application. Applications must be received (not postmarked) by the submission deadline.
