Who Can Apply:

  • Eligibility Requirements: Open to all majors. Students should have a strong and demonstrated interest in study abroad and international studies, with a minimum GPA of 3.00, and Junior or Senior Class status. Students’ studies and career plans should be such that they will benefit from studying abroad. While not a requirement for eligibility, consideration will be given to awarding scholarships to students with demonstrated financial need. The recipient must be enrolled full time during the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Graham E. Andrus graduated from Fredonia in May 2010 with a degree in history, focusing on Global Studies. In the Fall of 2010 he re-entered Fredonia as a second baccalaureate student in International Studies focusing on Developing Nations with a minor in Political Science. Graham died on August 13, 2011 while working as a camp counselor at Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake. His goal was to study abroad and experience life in another country. This scholarship is to help students to fulfill Graham’s dream.
  • Thomas Andrus and Karen Andrus, parents of Graham, created this legacy in their beloved son’s name, with the hope that his life focus on fostering world peace through building strong international relationships and collaboration among countries and their peoples would be achieved by students of his Alma Mater for generations to come.
