Holcomb Family Education Scholarship (Deadline: March 15, 2020)

Who Can Apply: The Holcomb Family Education Scholarship was established in 2008 by the Hall County Optimist Club to honor long-time educators, J.H. Holcomb and his sisters, Margaret, Mildred and Nell. With careers beginning shortly after World War II, the Holcombs served the childred of Hall County and Gainesville for more than 100 years.

A $1,000 scholarship is available to graduating seniors at Hall County or Gainesville City public high schools or to a GED recipient. Applicants must be planning to pursue a full-time degree program in the field of education at an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning. Applicants should also have demonstrated financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
