Instrument Top Scholarship (Deadline: July 28, 2018)
Who Can Apply:
- To be considered for the scholarship, you must be currently registered as a student in a high school, college or university.
- You do not need to play a musical instrument to apply. All students, regardless of their major, are welcome to submit an application.
- Past recipients of the scholarship are not eligible and should not apply.
Submission: Think of a popular tune or song that has lyrics.
Your task is to replace the original lyrics with new ones that help teach a concept or piece of information to someone.
The new song might be aimed at teaching children, helping language learners understand grammar concepts, a way for math students to memorize a formula, and so on. You must think of a new song title, as well.
Be creative and please write the title of the original song and artist at the top of your document for reference. Also, be sure to include an introduction that explains why you have chosen the particular song and whom you would like the new version to help.
