Jean L. Phillips Auburn Scholarship (Deadline: March 1, 2018)

Who Can Apply: Available to graduates of any accredited public or private high school within Calhoun County who is attending Auburn University are eligible to apply for the scholarship without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, or disability.  In addition, the following priorities, in the enumerated order, shall be used to evaluate candidates: Applicants must: (1) be ranked within the top 25% of their high school graduating class; (2) exhibit proven academic ability; (3) reflect strong moral character; (4) be recognized for school and community service; and, (5) show financial need.

Submission: An essay is required with the application. The student is asked to describe his or her personal aspirations, educational, and career goals. The applicant should conclude the statement with the main reason why the committee should award him, or her, the scholarship.
