Who Can Apply: After attending the Nursing Program at Santa Fe College, Jean Rae Bronson established this scholarship for students enrolled in a nursing program at Santa Fe College.
Mrs. Bronson was accepted in the Nursing Program in 1991 at Santa Fe College and graduated in 1993. Going through the program as a middle-aged student made her very aware of the learning process. She was also impressed with the dedication of the teachers and the supporting staff and their role in providing sequential learning experiences to reach their desired goal.
This scholarship idea materialized because of her desire to help provide an education similar to the rewarding experiences she had at Santa Fe College.
Mrs. Bronson was very involved in the Guardian ad Litem program in Alachua and surrounding counties. She credits her nursing education and associated experiences in helping her represent abused and neglected children in the court system.
