Jo Farr Scholarship (Deadline: March 15, 2019)

Who Can Apply: The Jo Farr Scholarship Fund was established at the North Georgia Community Foundation by family and friends in memory of Jo Cronic Farr, a former teacher at Gainesville High School.

  • One $2,500 award is available to graduating seniors at Gainesville High School who are planning to attend an accredited U.S. institute of higher learning.
  • Applicants can be eligible to attend a two-year junior college, a technical school, or a four year university with preference to those planning to attend either the University of North Georgia or the University of Georgia.
  • Additional selection criteria (in order of priority), include demonstrated financial need, desire, extra-curricular activities, academics (an overall “C” average or better is acceptable).
