Who Can Apply: The Kyle Shirlin Art Scholarship is available for a promising visual arts or photography student who will be majoring in the visual arts or photography while attending a college or university. The one-year, non-renewable award in the amount of $1000 was established in 2016 to provide support to one graduating senior, or a recent graduate from 2016, 2017 or 2018 from any Henderson County Public High School. An emphasis will be placed on artistic ability and recommendation from the Visual Arts teacher in selection of the recipient.
The successful applicant will:
- Be a 2016, 2017, 2018 or 2019 graduate from a Henderson County Public High School.
- Be nominated for consideration by the school’s visual arts teacher.
- Major or study visual arts or photography while attending a community college, or an accredited-college or university.
Submission: Student will provide the Foundation with reports of enrollment, grades and academic status.
