Who Can Apply: The Marker Science Scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of a Henderson County public high school who will be majoring in Engineering or Computer Science at an accredited 4-year college or university. The $5,000 scholarship is renewable annually for up to 4 years. The applicant’s need for financial support in order to attend college will also be considered.
Student will:
- be a graduating senior from a Henderson County Public High School
- rank in the top 20% of their graduating class
- have scored at or above 27 in math, at or above 27 in English, and at or above 27 composite on the ACT (comparable SAT scores are acceptable)
- have applied for and been accepted into a 4-year college or university.
- major in Engineering or Computer Science.
- have no criminal record and will certify abstinence from drug and alcohol use.
- complete the scholarship application in full no later than the stated deadline.
- demonstrate participation in school and/or community activities.
- demonstrate need for financial support to attend college.
Submission:
- maintain at least an overall B average while majoring in Engineering or Computer Science.
- maintain regular contact with scholarship provider.
- have no criminal record and will certify abstinence from drug and alcohol use.
- provide the Foundation with information about enrollment, grades and academic status.
