Who Can Apply: Any high school senior or currently-enrolled college student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who is a resident of Chicago, Illinois, suburban Chicago or Chicago metropolitan area. High school seniors must be graduating at the end of the 2016-2017 year and be attending a postsecondary institution beginning 2017-2018. Must be a United States citizen or United States permanent resident

How to Apply: Submit a scholarship application on the website as well as an essay essay that includes the following:

  1. Introduction (100-200 Words): Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you’re applying for this award. Please include any information about yourself that you feel might help you stand out from other applicants. Tell us what makes you unique!
  2. Short Essay (500-1000 Words): How will attending a post-secondary educational institute help you reach your future goals? In addition, what are your plans for bettering your Chicago-area community? How will your education help you fulfill those plans?
