National Bio-CARE Scholarship (Deadline: June 1, 2019)

Who Can Apply:

  • You must be at least 16 years of age and hold a GED or high school diploma.
  • You must be accepted by or currently attending any accredited two-year or four-year college in the U.S.

Submission: To apply for the scholarship, students should write an essay discussing the importance of proper disposal of medical waste. The essay should begin by providing a definition of medical waste and then give several detailed examples of waste materials, how to dispose of them, and potential consequences of improper disposal. The essay should be anywhere from 500 to 750 words in length.
