Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars Program (Deadline: February 5, 2019)

Who Can Apply: 

  • Be United States citizens
  • Be residents of one of the following counties/cities:
    • Alabama – Huntsville City, Madison County, Madison City
    • California (McClellan) – Sacramento County
    • California (San Diego) – San Diego County
    • California (South Bay) – Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Torrance, Lawndale, or LAUSD- Local District South
    • California (Woodland Hills) – Conejo, San Fernando, Simi Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Ventura County
    • California (Sunnyvale) – Alameda or Santa Clara County
    • Colorado – Boulder County, El Paso County, Adams Country, Arapahoe County, Broomfield County, Denver County, Douglas County, Jefferson County
    • Florida – Orange or Seminole County
    • Illinois – Cities of Arlington Heights, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Mt. Prospect, Palatine or Rolling Meadows
    • Maryland – all counties, plus Baltimore City
    • New York – Erie or Niagara County
    • Ohio – Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren County
    • Utah – Davis, Salt Lake, Utah or Weber County
    • Virginia (Charlottesville) – Albemarle County
    • Virginia (NOVA) – Fairfax County
  • Be graduating seniors of a public or accredited private high school in a sponsoring location
  • Must plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university as a full-time student in an approved engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics program
  • Have a minimum composite SAT score of 1150 or ACT score of 27 (initial application only)
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (unweighted) in grades 9-12 (initial application only)
  • May not be a recipient of any other Northrop Grumman Scholarship.



  • A current, complete official transcript of grades and the completed Academic Record Form.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation. One from Principal or Head of Math or Science Department and two from a teacher, employer or community leader.
