Who Can Apply:
- Perry Brown was a talented and passionate dancer, choreographer, actor, and ballet teacher who dedicated his life to performing and guiding the next generation.
- Education was incredibly important to Perry, and he earned his Master’s in Fine Arts from Texas Christian University. Scholarships were a formative part of his experience, allowing him to study acting with Stella Adler and dance at the School of American Ballet. Perry acted in over fifty plays, played roles in movies and on television, and was a professional ballet dancer for fifteen years, sharing his talents internationally before cancer closed his final curtain on March 18, 2025.
- This scholarship aims to support young actors and dancers who have the talent, ambition, and drive necessary to thrive in the entertainment industry.
- Any high school senior, high school graduate, undergraduate, or graduate student in Texas who is pursuing acting or dancing-related performing arts may apply for this scholarship opportunity. Students in the Texas Panhandle are strongly encouraged to apply.
