Proof-Reading.com Scholarship Program (Deadline: November 1, 2014)

Who Can Apply: Attend classes at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S., take a minimum of 12 semester units (you must be a full-time student).

Submission: You must write a minimum of 1,500 words in reference to the information presented below. There is no maximum word count. We will focus on grammar and your ability to present ideas clearly. Include a works cited page with a minimum of three sources. The essay must follow the Modern Language Association (MLA) system for documenting sources.

Many Americans are pondering important questions that surfaced after the recent NSA surveillance controversy. How secure are we as Americans? What is the government’s role in our “security,” and to what lengths should they go to ensure it?
