Who Can Apply: In order to be considered for the scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in or applying for an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in project management, and/or a field that benefits from project management (i.e., architecture, science/engineering, hotel management, information technology, pharmaceutical, business administration, construction, human resources, educational administration, etc.), with the following order of priority:
- Any individual residing in the Hampton Roads Area, USA (see list of eligible communities below) who is attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university program anywhere. Individuals residing in the following counties or cities are eligible to apply: Accomack, Chesapeake, Hampton, Isle of Wight, Newport News, Norfolk, Northampton, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and York as well as zip codes in the State of North Carolina beginning with 279.
- Any individual residing in the State of Virginia, USA attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university program anywhere.
- Any individual residing in the mid-Atlantic region, USA, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Virginia, New York and West Virginia, who is attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university program anywhere.
Submission: The application title associated with the Ranzy Gammal Memorial Scholarship is Academic Scholarships for Undergraduates and Graduates Application. Applications from interested candidates must be received by PMIEF no later than May 1, each year. Notification to awardees will be sent via email to each applicant in August. Candidates who have not received the award will also be notified via email.Upon award, scholarship funds will be distributed directly to the student.
