Who Can Apply:
- Not everyone has easy access to the education they seek due to a myriad of factors beyond their control.
- Things like finances, background, life circumstances, and challenges can prevent even the most exceptional students from attending college. It is particularly challenging for teenage mothers to financially afford higher education and many don’t have the support system they need to successfully attend and graduate college. Having access to education and college programs can significantly alter the course of someone’s life, especially single mothers who are trying to create a better future for their children.
- This scholarship aims to support students who are single mothers so they can get the encouragement and assistance they need to achieve their goals.
- Any African American high school or undergraduate student who is a single mother between the ages of seventeen and twenty-one may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
