The Mimi Hart Memorial Police Scholarship (Deadline: February 14, 2020)

Who Can Apply: Provides educational scholarships to deserving men and women who are children or grandchildren of employees of the Martinsville City Police Department. Applicants can be graduating high school seniors, current college students, or intending to begin a program at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or technical/career school, or students in a graduate program. This is a merit-based scholarship.

The applicant must:

  • Pursue a degree/certificate in the area of health, business or religion;
  • Demonstrate a capacity to satisfactorily complete college-level courses as evidenced by high school and/or college transcripts or similar documentation;
  • Demonstrate financial need;
  • Be enrolled on a full-time or part-time basis at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or a vocational or technical school in the state of Virginia.

Deadline: February 14, 2020

Amount: $1,000
