Who Can Apply: The Patrick Michael Kelley Scholarship was established by members of the Gainesville-Hall County community to honor the memory of Patrick Kelley, an outstanding student at Gainesville High School who died in a car accident his senior year.
Patrick was known for his academic ability, his musical talent, and his commitment to service in his community. While in high school, he was an active member of the Gainesville High School Band, played in two different community orchestras, was an Eagle Scout, attended the Governor’s Honors Program, participated in numerous school clubs and activities, and was active in his church youth group. Patrick utilized all of his talents in his approach to life.
This $2,500 scholarship seeks to recognize students who best exemplify Patrick’s approach to life and is available to graduating seniors at Hall County or Gainesville City public high schools who are planning to attend an accredited U.S. college or university. The ideal candidate will excel academically, participate in activities that give back to the community, pursue his or her extracurricular interests and have demonstrated leadership.
