The Philip H. Baker Gainesville Civitan Club Scholarship (Deadline: October 15, 2019)

Who Can Apply: In 1991, the Gainesville Civitan Club held a major fund raising drive to establish this scholarship for students from Alachua County who plan to attend Santa Fe College.  This scholarship was established to honor a member of the Gainesville Civitan Club, Philip H. Baker, for his outstanding and dedicated service to the many projects which the club supports.  These projects included the Association of Retarded Citizens of Alachua County, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boys Club, Girls Club, and the Special Olympics.  The Philip H. Baker Gainesville Civitan Club Scholarship will provide an opportunity for an Alachua County high school graduate to attend Santa Fe College.


  1. Student must have 2.5 GPA
  2. Full time (12 credit hours) enrollment
  3. Alachua County High School Graduate
  4. Alachua County Resident
  5. Pursuing A.A. (Associate in Arts) or A.S. (Associate in Science) degree
