The Teddy Lee Drumm Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: April 1, 2016)

Who Can Apply: The goal of the Teddy Lee Drumm Memorial Scholarship is to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Sharon, Connecticut, for at least four years and who are unlikely to have access to other scholarship resources because of average grades. We are looking for students who are motivated to pursue education at an accredited college, university, vocational-technical or professional institute in the United States and for whom this award will have a significant impact.

Submission: The committee will review requests for scholarships according to the following criteria:

  • Demonstration of motivation to succeed in pursuing a two or four year college degree/certificate
  • Residency in the Town of Sharon
  • Significance of the scholarship award to the student, particularly financial significance
  • Encouragement of students with demonstrated character who have made a contribution to their community

Deadline: April 1, 2016

Amount: $1,500
