Thought 1 Scholarship (Deadline: February 15, 2020)

Who Can Apply: The Thought 1 Scholarship was established to help provide a Jackson County high school senior, whose life has been impacted by either losing a parent, step-parent or legal guardian to cancer or who is a cancer survivor themselves, a significant scholarship and an opportunity to continue their education.

  • Resident of Jackson County, Michigan

  • Graduating high school senior or graduating home-schooled student

  • Lost a parent, step-parent or legal guardian to cancer OR applicant is a cancer survivor

  • Proof of acceptance to an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university or trade school

  • Applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation describing how cancer has impacted their life

  • It is recommended that applicants address how cancer has impacted their life in the “Essay” section of the application

Deadline: February 15, 2020

Amount: $2,500
