Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Scholarships (Deadline: March 15, 2016)

Who Can Apply: To be eligible for Wisconsin 4-H Foundation scholarships, students must have been a 4-H member for at least one year, have a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and be enrolled or planning to enroll at a university, college or technical school during the 2016-2017 academic school year.

Submission:

Résumé

  • Not to exceed one page
  • No less than 3/4–inch margins and with no smaller than a 10-point font
  • Suggested résumé headings include: Career Goals, School Experience, Work Experience, 4-H Experience, Leadership Experience, Activities Outside of 4-H.
  • Applicant’s name and contact information (including county where the applicant is/was a 4-Her) at the top of the page

Cover Letter

  • Not to exceed one page
  • No less than 3/4–inch margins and with no smaller than a 10-point font
  • Cover letters should include information relevant to the application, including how 4-H made an impact and how skills learned in 4-H will be used in the future. The strongest cover letters expand on information on the résumé; they don’t repeat the same information.
  • Applicant’s name and contact information (including county where the applicant is/was a 4-Her) at the top of the page

List of 4-H projects in which the applicant participated

  • Not to exceed one page
  • No less than 3/4–inch margins and with no smaller than a 10-point font
  • Applicant’s name and contact information (including county where the applicant is/was a 4-Her) at the top of the page
  • The project list should be in order of importance to the 4-Her, with the most important projects at the top of the list. This does not need to be a complete list of every project ever taken by the 4-Her. No descriptions needed; just list projects.

Recent digital photo of the applicant preferably at a 4-H event or working on a 4-H project

  • Photo may be snapshots or professional photos
  • Photos should be clear and, while other people may be in the photo, the applicant must be prominent
  • Photos may be used for promotional purposes
