Women in Aviation, Cleveland Chapter Scholarship (Deadline: November 16, 2015)

Who Can Apply:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Currently attending a high school, accredited U.S. college, or technical training program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • If you intend to use the scholarship toward flight training expenses, please provide proof of a current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) medical certificate or FAA Student Pilot Certificate (If needed, our Chapter is able to provide guidance on how to obtain an FAA Medical Certificate)


  • Official application form
  • Resumé
  • One recommendation letter (not from a family member) which attests to your character, skills, and accomplishments
  • Introduce yourself to our Chapter by writing a descriptive essay (no more than 750 words) which includes your academic and career goals, how you became interested in aviation, and how you intend to us the scholarship award
  • Copies of all aviation and medical certificates and the last three pages of your pilot logbook (if applicable)

Deadline: November 16, 2015

Amount: $500
