Who Can Apply:
- At Sprout Social, we are building software that is made to last. Our 30,000+ customers rely on us daily to reliably connect them with their customers, so scalability and performance are top of mind. Sprout Social is used by companies and organizations like DoorDash, General Mills, Trello, and Make-A-Wish Foundation who rely on Sprout to create stronger relationships with their customers through social media.
- The Sprout Social UNCF Scholarship opportunity was developed to provide an $11,000 one-time merit-based scholarship to African American college seniors who exemplify strong leadership skills and demonstrate a career interest in computer science or software engineering. Selected award recipients will have an exclusive opportunity to apply and interview for a full-time position at Sprout Social that would begin in the summer of 2024.
- Applicants must be current college juniors who will be enrolled full-time as seniors for the 2023-2024 academic year at any accredited 4-year institution, with priority consideration given to applicants attending Howard University, North Carolina A&T State University, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Applicants must be majoring in computer science, software engineering, or a similar degree program.
- Scholarship awards will be disbursed in the 2023-2024 academic year. Selected recipients’ contact information and resume will be shared with the scholarship grantor, who may contact them with post-graduation career opportunities.
Submission:
- A current official or unofficial academic transcript.
- A current 1-page resume that includes activities, leadership, community involvement, awards, and level of proficiency in different programming languages.
