Who Can Apply: Administered by UNCF, the LeBlanc/Baker Scholarship for Change provides a renewable need-based scholarship of up to $4,000 annually to Black/African American male students who will attend an accredited, four-year Historically Black College or University (“HBCU”) in the fall of the 2024-2025 academic year.
· Black/African American male who reside or is a permanent resident of Washington, DC.
· Minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, but not higher than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
· Current high school senior, graduating in May 2024,, and planning to attend a UNCF Member Institution or any other accredited, four-year HBCU.
Preference is given to candidates who are graduating seniors of a DC Public School (DCPS).
· Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with a demonstrated unmet financial need to be verified by the intended or current institution.

2. Essay – a one page personal statement of career interest.
3. Current official academic transcript.
4. Acceptance letter from the HBCU enrolled or intended to enroll.
5. A letter of recommendation,
