Who Can Apply:
- Be Black/African American or Latinx/Hispanic;
- Be entering freshman who has been accepted to and who is planning to attend any accredited UNCF Member Institution, other HBCU, or U.S. based, two or four-year college, university, or technical school beginning fall 2024;
- Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale;
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form;
- Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by their institution;
- Reside or be a permanent resident in an approved zip code of one of the following cities:
- Compton, California
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Fairburn, Georgia
- Savanna, Georgia
- Jacksonville, Florida
- Memphis, Tennessee
- Jackson, Tennessee
- Houston, Texas
Submission: Submit a one-page personal statement responding to the following prompt, “How will a college education help you to achieve your personal and professional goals”?
