Who Can Apply: The City of Miramar Scholarship Program will provide a one-time, need-based scholarship to one (1) student, that is a recent high school graduate from each of the following high schools: Everglades High School, Miramar High School, and Somerset Academy. Eligible applicants for this scholarship must now be attending any U.S. based, accredited college or university during this 2024-2025 school year.
1. Possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
2. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) form.
3. Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by their college or university.
4. Reside in or be a permanent resident of the State of Florida.
5. Be a student that recently graduated from Somerset Academy, Everglades High School, or Miramar High School who has been accepted and is now attending any (in the order of preference) UNCF Member Institution, other HBCU, or any U.S.-based, accredited, four-year college or university.
Submission:
- All Students shall submit an online application for the program,
- One-page personal statement of career interest. AND
- A High School Transcript.
