Who Can Apply: The Edna M. Blum Endowed Scholarship for NY Residents is a need-based scholarship open to undergraduate and graduate students attending any accredited 4-year college or university in the U.S. The scholarship will provide an award of up to $5,000. This is a one-time award to be disbursed during the current 2025-2026 school year.
- Be residents of New York City (one of the 5 boroughs ONLY)
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited 4-year college or university located in the U.S.
- File a 2025-2026 Federal Application For Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Submission:
- Applicants must submit via UNCF’s online scholarship application portal by December 12, 2025 at 5:00pm. All parts of the application must be completed and submitted by the deadline
- Essay – Submit a one-page essay regarding your neighborhood and career goals
- A recent unofficial or official academic transcript
