- Foster children are often forced to exhibit incredible resilience and strength at young ages, pushing them to grow up quickly.
- Many foster children face significant challenges, such as losing family members, facing financial insecurity, being separated from siblings, frequently changing schools, and generally not having stability. Facing this turmoil and adversity can make it difficult to focus on college applications, and the financial obstacles that often come with a foster background often make tuition impossible to afford.
- This scholarship seeks to support students who have been through the foster system but are committed to continuing their education and overcoming the obstacles they’ve faced.
- Any high school or undergraduate student who is a current or former foster child may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
