- Unleashed Veterinary Dermatology is an independent veterinary specialty practice based in Stratford, CT.
- Veterinary medicine is a calling. It requires not only a passion for animals, but courage and endurance to get there. Recognizing the challenge, the Unleashable Scholar aims to support a member of the next generation of veterinarians.
- This scholarship will provide financial backing to a veterinary student, but its secondary goal is to inspire veterinary students to consider whether they could have a future in specialty veterinary medicine. Compared to general practitioners, veterinary specialists require several years of extra training, but the rewards to specializing can be high.
- A final goal of this scholarship is to highlight the possibility of a career at an independently owned veterinary practice. Independently owned veterinary practices can give their veterinarians a special freedom to practice as they see fit.
- A strong candidate for this scholarship should want to practice at the top of their field. Those with an interest in veterinary dermatology are especially encouraged to apply.
