Who Can Apply:
- Dr. William Evans is an incredible father and veteran who is an integral part of his family and his community, and an inspiration to many. Dr. Evans graduated as a psychology major at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1972 and went on to earn his doctorate in dentistry (DMD) at Tufts University. After graduation, he was commissioned in the U. S. Public Health Service and served as a dental officer in the United States Coast Guard, retiring with the rank of Captain (0-6) after 26 years of service. Dr. Evans has been a member of the Board of Trustees at Lycoming for the last 18 years. After dedicating so many years of his life to improving the College and serving the students who attend there, he will become a Trustee Emeritus. He believes in the dreams of all students who work hard, have a personal vision, and are driven towards their long-term goals.
- This scholarship aims to honor the legacy of Dr. Evans by supporting students at Lycoming College who are passionate about learning, personal betterment, and education.
- Any undergraduate student at Lycoming College, or high school senior planning to attend Lycoming may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
